Wnikliwe rozeznanie tematu skłoniło autora do opracowania nowego podejścia do procesu rekonfiguracji sieci elektroenergetycznej średniego napięcia z wykorzystaniem niedeterministycznych modeli sieci oraz podejścia statystycznego i probabilistycznego. Głównym celem badań prowadzonych w ramach rozprawy było opracowanie nowego podejścia do procesu rekonfiguracji sieci elektroenergetycznej średniego napięcia, prowadzące do uzyskania optymalnych konfiguracji sieci z wykorzystaniem narzędzi optymalizacyjnych i podejścia probabilistycznego w prognozowaniu obciążeń i generacji. Badania symulacyjne wykonane na testowym i pełnym modelu sieci potwierdziły poprawność i skuteczność opracowanego podejścia do procesu rekonfiguracji sieci elektroenergetycznej średniego napięcia. Opracowane autorskie algorytmy do prognozowania obciążenia i mocy generowanej z odnawialnych źródeł energii okazały się skuteczne. Badania potwierdziły, że utrzymanie jednej optymalnej konfiguracji sieci jest niezwykle trudne a celem poprawy funkcjonowania systemu elektroenergetycznego konieczna jest dynamiczna rekonfiguracja sieci.
This dissertation addresses the issues related to the optimization of medium voltage grid operation, focusing on the optimal grid configuration and the reduction of power and energy losses. The paper presents a critical review of network configuration changes both in Poland and in the world. A thorough understanding of the subject prompted the author to develop a new approach to the process of reconfiguration of the medium voltage power grid using non-deterministic network models as well as statistical and probabilistic approaches. The main purpose of the research conducted as part of the dissertation was to develop a new approach to the reconfiguration process of the medium voltage power grid, leading to optimal network configurations using optimization tools and a probabilistic approach in load and generation forecasting. The dissertation has been divided into 10 chapters and consists of a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, a review of the current state of knowledge and a critical analysis of the topic in the field of changes in the configuration of the medium voltage network were made. This part also includes a review of probabilistic methods and tools used in the field of power engineering. The practical part presents the methodology developed by the author of the work for reconfiguration of medium voltage distribution networks in order to improve the operating conditions of this network, reduce power losses and improve voltage profiles. At the end, the results of simulation tests were presented and analyzed. Simulation studies performed on the test and full model of the network confirmed the correctness and effectiveness of the developed approach to the reconfiguration process of the medium voltage power grid. The developed proprietary algorithms for forecasting the load and power generated from renewable energy sources turned out to be effective. Research has confirmed that maintaining one optimal network configuration is extremely difficult and in order to improve the functioning of the power system, it is necessary to dynamically reconfigure the network.
