Film przedstawia Muzeum Politechniki Lubelskiej, zlokalizowane w Centrum Innowacji i Zaawansowanych Technologii. O wystawie stałej „Historia i technika” opowiada mgr Blanka Malczarska, wieloletni pracownik Muzeum. Wśród eksponatów znajdują się m.in. zabytkowe maszyny i urządzenia techniczne, komputery z minionych dekad, przyrządy pomiarowe, fotografie, dokumenty oraz unikatowe pamiątki. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje podręcznik do matematyki autorstwa prof. Antoniego Łomnickiego – jedyny zachowany egzemplarz w Polsce. Muzeum pełni również funkcję edukacyjną – organizuje warsztaty, wystawy czasowe i okolicznościowe oraz zajęcia dla dzieci, realizowane we współpracy z Wydziałami Mechanicznym i Elektrycznym.
The film showcases the Lublin University of Technology Museum, located in the Centre for Innovation and Advanced Technologies. Blanka Malczarska, MA, a long-serving member of staff at the Museum, talks about the permanent exhibition ‘History and Technology’. The exhibits include, amongst others, historic machines and technical equipment, computers from past decades, measuring instruments, photographs, documents and unique memorabilia. Particularly noteworthy is a mathematics textbook by Prof. Antoni Łomnicki – the only surviving copy in Poland. The museum also serves an educational purpose – it organises workshops, temporary and special exhibitions, and activities for children, carried out in collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
