Mirek Osip-Pokrywka - Absolwent m.in. Wydziału Zarządzania i Podstaw Techniki Politechniki Lubelskiej (1990) oraz studiów doktoranckich na Wydziale Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (1999). Utrzymując silny związek ze swoją macierzystą uczelnią przez 15 lat, do 2006 r., pracował jako menedżer wysokiego szczebla w firmach głównie branży motoryzacyjnej związanych z markami: Fabryka Samochodów w Lublinie, Daewoo Motor, Renault, Land Rower i Jaguar. Od kilkudziesięciu lat zajmuje się profesjonalnie fotografią podróżniczą. Jest absolwentem Studium Fotograficznego Stowarzyszenia Polskich Artystów i Fotografików (SPAF) w Warszawie oraz Photo Master Classes Jacka Samotusa. Ma na koncie kilka wystaw fotograficznych (zbiorowych i indywidualnych). Podróżuje po świecie i publikuje materiały o interesujących miejscach, krajach, regionach i kulturach w magazynach podróżniczych, pismach popularno-naukowych i periodykach krajoznawczych (łącznie ponad 2 tys. artykułów). Jest autorem oraz współautorem kilkunastu przewodników i albumów fotograficznych o tematyce krajowej oraz zagranicznej, a publikacje jego autorstwa były wielokrotnie wyróżniane i nagradzane na targach książek. W 2024 r. otrzymała tytuł Wybitnego Absolwenta Politechniki Lubelskiej. Plansze pochodzą z wystaw promujących publikacje Mirka Osipa-Pokrywki: „Lwów i ziemia Lwowska – od środka” oraz „Czesław Miłosz – Kresy śladami wielkich Polaków”. LWÓW I ZIEMIA LWOWSKA – od środka 28 tablic wystawienniczych w formacie B1 (100 x 70 cm) prezentuje wnętrza kilkunastu obiektów we Lwowie (14 tablic) i na terenie szeroko rozumianej lwowskiej prowincji (12 tablic). W przeważającej części przedstawiono obiekty związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym. Najliczniej reprezentowane są świątynie (nie tylko obrządku rzymskokatolickiego), po zatem dawne rezydencje (pałace i wille), budynki użyteczności publicznej (m.in.: teatr, dworzec kolejowy, biblioteka, uczelnia, bank), a także kasyno, browar, hotel i kawiarnia. Poszczególne fotografie opatrzono krótką notą informacyjną dotyczącą obiektu, jego historii i obecnego stanu. Główną intencją autora wystawy jest zwrócenie uwagi na obecny stan zachowania budynków i duże dysproporcje w ich kondycji materialnej między obiektami miejskimi, a tymi na lwowskiej prowincji. Fotografie zostały wykonane na kilka miesięcy przed pełnoskalową inwazją Rosji na Ukrainę w lutym 2022 r. Materiał fotograficzny pochodzi ze znacznie szerszego opracowania zawartego w dwutomowym albumie: Mirek Osip-Pokrywka, Lwów i ziemia lwowska, Jedność, Kielce 2022 - w czasie wernisażu będzie możliwość nabycia publikacji z dedykacją autora. 13 tablic wystawienniczych w formacie B1 (100 x 70 cm) prezentuje miejsca związane z kresową biografią polskiego noblisty z dziedziny literatury z 1980 r. Wystawa jest pokłosiem 20. rocznicy śmierci Czesława Miłosza, którą obchodziliśmy w minionym roku. Poeta, eseista, tłumacz, filozof i historyk literatury – na początku lat 50. XX wieku podjął decyzję o emigracji. Od tego czasu jego twórczość w Polsce była wydawniczo nieobecna, pewien przełom nastąpił dopiero po uhonorowaniu Go Nagrodą Nobla. Materiał fotograficzny nawiązuje do miejsc do których poeta wielokrotnie wracała w swej twórczości literackiej. Najsłynniejszym utworem poświęconym dziecięcym wspomnieniom jest powieść Dolina Issy. Literacka Issa, to rzeka Nieważa wijąca się przez dawne żmudzkie zaścianki. Po za tym odwiedzamy: Wilno, Kowno i współczesne pogranicze łotewsko-białoruskie gdzie, rodzina Miłoszów miała ziemskie majętności. Materiał fotograficzny pochodzi ze znacznie szerszego opracowania zawartego w dwutomowym albumie: Mirek i Magda Osip-Pokrywka, KRESY. Śladami wielkich Polaków, Jedność, Kielce 2020 - w czasie wernisażu będzie możliwość nabycia publikacji z dedykacją autora.
Irek Osip-Pokrywka – A graduate of, amongst others, the Faculty of Management and Engineering Fundamentals at the Lublin University of Technology (1990) and a PhD programme at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw (1999). Maintaining a strong connection with his alma mater for 15 years, until 2006, he worked as a senior manager in companies, mainly in the automotive industry, associated with the following brands: Lublin Car Factory, Daewoo Motor, Renault, Land Rover and Jaguar. He has been professionally involved in travel photography for several decades. He is a graduate of the Photography Course at the Association of Polish Artists and Photographers (SPAF) in Warsaw and Jacek Samotus’s Photo Master Classes. He has held several photographic exhibitions (both group and solo). He travels the world and publishes articles on interesting places, countries, regions and cultures in travel magazines, popular science journals and local history periodicals (over 2,000 articles in total). He is the author and co-author of over a dozen guidebooks and photo albums on domestic and international themes, and his publications have received numerous distinctions and awards at book fairs. In 2024, he was awarded the title of Distinguished Graduate of the Lublin University of Technology. The panels are taken from exhibitions promoting Mirek Osip-Pokrywka’s publications: ‘Lviv and the Lviv Region – From the Inside’ and ‘Czesław Miłosz – The Borderlands in the Footsteps of Great Poles’. LVIV AND THE LVIV REGION – From the Inside Eight exhibition panels in B1 format (100 x 70 cm) showcase the interiors of over a dozen buildings in Lviv (14 panels) and across the wider Lviv region (12 panels). The majority of the buildings featured are associated with Polish cultural heritage. The most numerous are places of worship (not only of the Roman Catholic rite), followed by former residences (palaces and villas), public buildings (including a theatre, railway station, library, university and bank), as well as a casino, brewery, hotel and café. Each photograph is accompanied by a brief note providing information about the building, its history and current condition. The exhibition’s creator’s main intention is to draw attention to the current state of preservation of the buildings and the significant disparities in their physical condition between urban sites and those in the Lviv province. The photographs were taken a few months before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The photographic material is taken from a much more extensive study contained in a two-volume album: Mirek Osip-Pokrywka, Lviv and the Lviv Region, Jedność, Kielce 2022 – during the opening, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the publication with a dedication from the author. Thirteen exhibition panels in B1 format (100 x 70 cm) showcase places associated with the borderland life of the Polish Nobel Laureate in Literature (1980). The exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of Czesław Miłosz’s death, which we commemorated last year. A poet, essayist, translator, philosopher and literary historian – in the early 1950s, he decided to emigrate. Since then, his work has been absent from publication in Poland; a breakthrough only came after he was awarded the Nobel Prize. The photographic material refers to places to which the poet repeatedly returned in his literary work. The most famous work devoted to childhood memories is the novel The Issa Valley. The literary Issa is the Neva River winding through the former backwaters of Samogitia. We also visit Vilnius, Kaunas and the modern Latvian-Belarusian borderland where the Miłosz family owned estates. The photographic material is taken from a much more extensive study contained in a two-volume album: Mirek and Magda Osip-Pokrywka, KRESY. In the Footsteps of Great Poles, Jedność, Kielce 2020 – during the opening, there will be an opportunity to purchase a copy of the publication with a dedication from the author.
