Abstract (PL)

W pracy autorzy zawarli obszerny przegląd literatury z zakresu wykorzystania technologii BIM w budownictwie. We wstępie wyjaśniono podstawowe założenia i koncepcje związane z BIM. Omówiono metodykę projektowania, począwszy od zasad tworzenia obiektów w środowisku BIM, zasady klasyfikacji tych obiektów, oraz narzędzia jakie są wykorzystywane podczas projektowania 3D. Przedstawiono charakterystykę środowiska BIM, omówiono tematykę zarządzania parametrami modelu, i problematykę tworzenia dokumentacji rysunkowej. Opisano systemy współpracy programów BIM z rodziną programów typu CAD, czy programami służącymi do przeprowadzenia obliczeń nośności elementów konstrukcyjnych obiektu budowlanego. Drugą część pracy stanowi opis praktycznego zastosowania technologii BIM – warsztat projektanta, z zastosowaniem oprogramowania Tekla Structures. Autorzy na wstępie omawiają środowisko programu, pokazują w jaki sposób tworzyć siatki konstrukcyjne i analizują interfejs graficzny. Pokazano sposoby tworzenia elementów stalowych z połączeniami w węzłach, elementów betonowych i żelbetowych. Omówiono zagadnienia związane z kontrolą modelu, tworzeniem dokumentacji rysunkowej i zestawieniowej. Prace zakończono przedstawieniem programu Tekla BIMSight jako uniwersalnego środowiska do przeglądania międzybranżowych modeli i wykrywania między nimi kolizji.

Abstract (EN)

BIM – Building Information Modeling is a modeling information about buildings and structures using the digital data. The basis of the method is the use of computer software to produce three–dimensional building model divided to components, e.g. walls, ceilings, columns, beams, foundations [Azhar (2011), Eastman et al. (2011), Garber (2014), Kensek and Noble (2014), Krygiel and Bradley (2008), Volk et al. (2014)]. In the initial stages of project execution a parametric model is created, which contains materials, geometrical elements, their location in the model and interconnection, relationships and dependencies. The whole model is saved in the form of files that at any time can be edited using computer software in order to make any changes, acceptance of other solutions or total changes of initially adopted schemas. From a historical perspective, BIM is a new concept and its origins are dated to the early 80s of the 20th century. It relates to the appearance of computers capable to support design and parametric modeling. Today BIM is one of the fastest growing methodology for working on building projects. Method is not completely based on a new solutions, but the way in which known procedures for development of construction projects are used, is innovative. The degree of progress of the work associated with the building’s model preparation, at the very beginning determines the perception of BIM not as a distinct methodology, but the total process consisting of multiple methods. It should be noted that this process is characterized by a significant degree of variability. It is based solely on using computer software and so–called the parametric modeling, which is a fundamental BIM feature – distinctive from other design concepts. The main goal of BIM is total elimination of serial or independent development of specific parts of the construction project for the participants of the implementation, erection and operation of the building i.e. investor, designer, contractor, manufacturer of building materials, manager, supervisor, users, conservator, etc. The execution of such projects is the traditional approach (Fig. 1.1), which carries the risk of multiple errors caused by a separate preparation of specific parts of the overall design by individuals. The main cause of these errors is most commonly a lack of adequate communication between the participants of the process. Example: if two designers engaged in separate calculations that contain separate material solutions, in the absence of communication between them and the arrangements for specific solutions of design details, two separate parts of the project are get, which interconnection becomes the responsibility of the contractor. The situation becomes more precarious, when the designer or contractor changes one or more aspects of his part of the project without consulting with the other members of the whole team.
