W pracy omówiono podstawowe struktury przetworników służące do zwielokrotnienia częstotliwości, ponieważ stanowią one integralny element silnika. Rozważono układy zbudowane z trzech niezależnych obwodów magnetycznych i układy trójkolumnowe zasilane trójfazowo.
New models of high-speed induction motors, described in the monograph, are the combination of frequency converters and a magnetic induction motor, in which a rotating field in the gap with a speed three times greater than the direct result of the power supply frequency is obtained. Schematic diagrams of single phase motors with projecting poles and physical models of a motor with non-salient poles and a capacitor start-up phase are characterized. Equivalent circuits and equations describing the motor’s models are as well given. In particular, the focus is on the model of the capacitor start-up phase, for which a mathematical model in the time domain and a model in terms of state variables is formulated. For this motor, the circuit model was developed in the application of PSpice. The results of computer simulations are given in the form of waveforms of the currents, voltages, magnetic fluxes and speed characteristics and the electromagnetic torque of the motor. The monograph also contains the characteristics of the measuring system and a description of the laboratory tests of the physical model of the hybrid singlephase motor. The studies included measurement of the voltages, currents, magnetic fluxes, characteristics of speed and torque, as well as noise and vibration of the model. Another part of the monograph is dedicated to the hybrid motor’s models with projecting poles and three-phase powered, developed by the author. It presents the different structures of magnetic cores and winding connection systems. The motor’s converters have the windings connected in the zigzag or Scott system. The field- -circuit equations for the models were formulated as well as the results of calculations in their transient characteristics were presented.
