Do rejestracji rozkładu strumienia magnetycznego wykorzystano czujniki hallotronowe. W rozprawie przedstawiono metodę wyznaczania momentu oporowego silnika spalinowego z wykorzystaniem sygnału z czujnika Halla w szczelinie przyjarzmowej rozrusznika.
The monograph is devoted to issues related to the starting of internal combustion engines. The scientific goal of the study is to develop and explore methods and technical means for the operation surveillance of the starting system in vehicles. For the achievement of this objective it was considered necessary to develop a mathematical model of the starter-battery team, allowing to diagnose the technical condition of the starter and forecasting changes in the course of its normal characteristics during operation of the vehicle, as well as verification of the model on the basis of experimental research. The registered parameters include the voltage at the starter, the current consumed by the starter, and the starter’s rotation speed and torque. On the basis of these values the electrical and mechanical power of the starter were determined. To register the distribution of magnetic flux Hall sensors were used. The operation study includes an analysis of damaged starters, on the basis of which a reliability model of starter redundancy was developed, with a subdivision into mechanical and electrical parts. For the analysis of the magnetic flux distribution for selected operation states the QuickField program was used. Experimental studies were conducted for sensors placed on the rotor, the pole pieces and the yoke gap, recording the Hall voltage signal for selected starter damage. The study presents an analysis of the engine – starting current using an algorithm for calculating the resistance torque of the internal combustion engine based on the starter’s recorded electromechanical waveforms. This is followed by verification of the starting current carried out for four combustion engines. The dissertation discusses a method of determining the resistance torque of the internal combustion engine using the signal from the Hall sensor in the starter’s yoke gap.
