Praca należy do serii monografii poświęconych dziedzictwu kulturowemu Uzbekistanu, wydanej przez Politechnikę Lubelską we współpracy z uniwersytetami i instytucjami badawczymi w Azji Środkowej. Wyróżnia się interdyscyplinarnością, łącząc nauki techniczne, zwłaszcza informatykę, z naukami humanistycznymi – historią sztuki, archeologią, historią i językoznawstwem. Publikacja wpisuje się w dynamicznie rozwijający się ruch humanistyki cyfrowej i jest efektem międzynarodowej współpracy badaczy z Polski i Uzbekistanu. Artykuły poruszają różnorodne tematy, w tym digitalizację i wizualizację 3D zabytków, rolę sufizmu i medycyny islamskiej w kształtowaniu tradycji kulturowych, historyczną infrastrukturę karawanserajów i twierdz oraz rozwój ośrodków miejskich wzdłuż starożytnych szlaków handlowych. Badania dotyczą również organizacji społecznej wczesnych plemion, wpływu Jedwabnego Szlaku na stosunki międzynarodowe oraz współczesnych wyzwań związanych z ochroną i promocją dziedzictwa kulturowego za pomocą technologii informacyjnych i turystyki cyfrowej. Szczególny nacisk położono na region Chorezm, którego historia i dziedzictwo są szeroko omawiane poprzez studia przypadków dotyczące sanktuariów, fortyfikacji, meczetów, stanowisk archeologicznych i historiografii. Badania dowodzą znaczenia łączenia perspektyw archeologicznych, historycznych i technologicznych w badaniu i ochronie dziedzictwa.
Abstract EN
This monograph is a continuation of a series of monographs devoted to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, published by Lublin University of Technology in cooperation with universities and research institutions in Central Asia. The monograph is distinguished by its interdisciplinary nature, combining technical sciences, especially computer science, with the humanities i.e. art history, archaeology, history, and linguistics. The publication is part of the dynamically developing digital humanities movement and is the outcome of international collaboration between researchers from Poland and Uzbekistan. The articles address diverse topics, including the digitisation and 3D visualisation of monuments, the role of Sufism and Islamic medicine in shaping cultural traditions, the historical infrastructure of caravanserais and fortresses, and the development of urban centres along ancient trade routes. The studies also explore the social organisation of early tribes, the impact of the Silk Road on international relations, and the contemporary challenges related to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage through information technologies and digital tourism. A special emphasis is placed on the Khorezm region, whose history and heritage receive extensive coverage through case studies on shrines, fortifications, mosques, archaeological sites, and historiography. The research demonstrates the importance of combining archaeological, historical, and technological perspectives in studying and protecting heritage.
