Abstract

The textbook presents theoretical foundations regarding elementary issues in power engineering, with particular focus on computational problems in this field. The issues discussed include: modelling of power system elements, determining voltage drops, issues of voltage regulation and reactive power compensation, determining power and energy losses, mechanical calculations of overhead lines and short-circuit calculations. Each of the presented topics is complemented by calculation problems with ready-made solutions and explanations, as well as exercises to be solved on your own. The textbook can be used as a teaching aid for students of electrical faculties of technical universities.
