Abstract EN
The scientific aim of work is determination of technological and
restoration possibilities in use of silica-organic compounds in repairs of
monuments built of Kazimierz stone which are necessary to improve its
resistance against damaging activity of water. In this work a series of analyses
were conducted to prevent unhomogenous and porous structure of the rock
from damaging activity of rain water by hydrophobisation. Another part of
this work is determination of procedures before decision of hydrophobisation
processes. Examinations present the influence of silica-organic, hydrophobic
agents on moisture parameters of Kazimierz limestone. The hydrophobic
layers property analysis was conducted in the structure of five different chalkrock specimens. Examinated material is the calcium silicate stone used in
building of XVI-th century monuments of Lublin site and rock from
Kazimierz Dolny quarry which can be used as a restoration material.
The hydrophobisation processes subjects are five kinds of siliceous
limestone differing in parameters which influence the procedure effects, for
example differing in geographical orientation (different insolation, frequency
of freezing – melting cycles), salinity, area of origin.
